1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the Kelvathyr Storage mobile app. It covers information the app can access while you browse storage, review categories, identify possible duplicate or large files, and confirm file actions. It does not cover Android, Google Play, or another app that you open or share a file with.
2. Storage information processed on the device
When you grant the relevant Android permission and start a feature, Kelvathyr Storage may process:
- file and folder names, paths, extensions, sizes, and modified dates;
- storage category information used to build a visual overview;
- limited file content or previews needed when you ask to inspect or open an item;
- your local selections, exclusions, and preferences for the current app experience.
This information is used to display storage lists, group items, identify possible duplicates or large files, and let you review files before an action. Kelvathyr Storage does not intentionally collect your contacts, messages, precise location, microphone recordings, camera captures, or file contents for a developer-controlled database.
3. Actions you choose
The app can perform a file operation only after you choose an item and confirm the action shown by the app or Android. Sharing or opening an item sends it to the destination you select, such as another app or an Android system service. That destination controls what it does with the file. Review lists carefully before confirming a deletion because removed files may not be recoverable.
4. Local storage and retention
Preferences and temporary scan results may be stored in Kelvathyr Storage's local app data so screens can load and your choices can be remembered. They are not intended to be sent to a developer-controlled server. Clearing app data or uninstalling the app generally removes these local records, subject to Android backup and device-transfer settings.
Files managed through the app remain in the locations controlled by Android and your device until you move or delete them. The app does not claim ownership of your files.
5. Disclosure and third-party processing
We do not intentionally sell, rent, or share file metadata or file contents with advertisers or data brokers. Google Play may process information needed for app distribution, security, payments, and account management under Google's own privacy terms. Android may also process information when you grant permissions or use system backup, restore, sharing, or file-picker functions.
Should an optional online, analytics, advertising, or cloud feature be introduced, this policy will be revised to explain its data practices before it is used for that purpose.
6. Security
Keeping routine scan processing on your device limits transmission, but no app, device, or network is completely secure. Protect your device with a lock, keep Android updated, and review permissions in system settings. We do not ask you to upload personal files in ordinary support conversations.
7. Children
Kelvathyr Storage is a general-purpose storage tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information in connection with the app, contact us through the support contact listed on the app's Google Play page.
8. Your controls and rights
You can grant or revoke Android permissions, decide which files to scan, decline an action, clear local app data, or uninstall Kelvathyr Storage. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information. Use the developer support contact displayed on the app's Google Play store listing for a privacy request. We may verify the request and respond within the period required by applicable law.
9. Updates
We may change this policy when the app or applicable requirements change. The current version will remain available on this page and will show the date of its latest update. Material changes will be communicated in an appropriate way.
